email log in screen keeps popping up

anyone ever seen this one before? i'm having a problem with the login/password dialog box for outlook express periodically popping up. cancel it and it pops right back up. cancel it again and it goes away. not sure how much longer but after a period of time this will reoccur. kinda makes me nervous. malwarebytes and adaware arent finding anything. anyone got any thoughts? thanks zz03

Do you even use Outlook Express? I would just uninstall it if you do not use it.

I see this when my ISP is having issues. It corrects itself after a while.

The normal cause is that one or more of your email accounts isn't properly authenticating to the mail server. The credentials are wrong or the server isn't working right.

It's probably coming up again when Outlook Express re-checks the mail server every ten minutes or whatever the default is.
