Email in China

My boss is heading to China for two weeks tomorrow. We are worried about him being able to recieve his email while he is there as his email is through an American university website (University of Georgia).

Does anyone know if he will be able to get his email, and if not, what email services can be used in China (Hong Kong/Bejing)?

Very few sites are blocked, he should have no problem. If my blackberry worked, he'll have no issues.

Well I know Google is blocked but didn't know about what else.

google isn't blocked, yes it has some search result filtering.

I was able to access my gmail and my coporate mail and other random accounts when I was in Shanghai in dec.

everything else seemed to work though

Having been to China many times, I can assure you that 99.999 percent of sites you visit are not blocked.

I never had trouble accessing Georgia Tech email in China.
