I apologize if this is in the wrong area...please feel free to move if it isn't. This is the message I received from someone that I work with.

"The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'EDIT'. Subject 'Read: [Spam] Weekly Mailing for November 10, 2008', Account: 'EDIT', Server: 'mail.airwaveme.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1 <ka6qgr@airwaveme.net> Access not allowed', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'customercare@quicken.com'. The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'ka6qgr@arrl.net'. Subject 'test', Account: 'EDIT', Server: 'mail.airwaveme.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1 <EDIT> Access not allowed', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

I am not sure if this did not go through so i am trying again. These are the error messages i am getting. I do hope you will be able to assist in desiffering the problem.

I am going through my server since i cannot send it through the Outlook Express. By the way i had to get rid of Outlook as it was locking up and therefore never opening or verrrrrrrrrrrry slowly."

Okay, all you brainiacs, please take a look at the error messages and see if you can decipher anything on what is wron. He maight as well have been speaking Latin when he was telling me what was happening (and he probably CAN because he's a Catholic Priest!)

Anyway...any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

First, I'd edit that post and delete all the email addresses in it.
This is a public forum and there's no telling who, or what, will get them.

"'EDIT'. Subject 'Read: [Spam] Weekly Mailing for November 10, 2008'"

Sounds like the message is getting rejected because the recipient's email program thinks it's spam.

Yes I think as well after reading the post that the email is getting rejected because it's being recognized as SPAM. Btw, the error: "The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server" can be solved by following the steps in the link below (but I don't know if it'll help in this case but you could give it a try).

Here's the link (scroll down to Error 0x800CCC79):

There is probably an easy explanation. One of the addressees does not wish to receive email at that address, and could be using a white list only. I have that - if yoiu try to send me an email, you'd get a message just like that.

When I have that happen with multpile addressees, I simply delete the problem addressee and move on.
