I am finally hooked up to cable. What a great feeling it is not to have to wait 2 days for a game demo to download.

Anyway, the problem is what can I do with my email? I have had the same email for several years and it is pretty important to keep messages coming from there for a while. I want to close my dialup account at the end of this month so I can save a little on internet costs.

I know I can send out a message to all my contacts, but I subscribe to many email lists that I need to keep. Is their any forwarding services that will catch my old email and forward it to my new email even if the account is closed?

Thanks.

i am assuming you mean your dialup ISP POP3 email, if so i am afraid there isnt much you can do to keep the email other than keep the account open, if you close your dialip account they will remove your username and thus email as well. maybe if you talk to them and they are nice enough, they can reserve this username even though you are not using it anymore and setup a forwarder for you, doubt it though. but either way, defintely start giving out your new email to people.

Just talk to your dialup isp, they more than likely have email only accounts which they could switch your account to. And from there you could either just POP to that, or have them forward it to your new pop box.

Yes, this is kind of what I figured. Seeing that I cant foward to my Cable accout from my Dialup account means to me they don't like people dropping their service.
