email client launches repeatedly

Lately my email client will launch on it's own at random times and frequency. I currently use Outlook 2000 and have tried switching to Outlook Express 6 and Mozilla 1.5 with the same result. I also have Norton Internet Security 2004 installed and thought maybe that might be the culprit but with the email scanning or the auto protect turned off - same thing. I was hoping someone might have an idea what is the cause of this problem.
Thanks in advance,
Keith

No idea what's causing it, but you might want to simply leave an email client open. It'll work best if it's a minimalist client, like Pegasus Mail (hit Google) or Thunderbird (the standalone mail portion of mozilla, technically in beta but working very, very well for me.) If you're doing the intarweb thing all the time, you can just stay in Mozilla and do your browsing in there as well, and you won't really be losing anything besides pop-ups, ActiveX virii, self-install spyware, and the Microsoft Critical Vulnerability of the Month.
