Email Application on NAS?

I'm currently using Outlook Express as my email application. A Google search indicated OE could NOT be used on a NAS. Is their a email application that I can have on my NAS and read/use email from any computer on the network?

I have a copy of Outlook, ~2002. I would need for this application to read my old OE email files.

Thanks

Thunderbird can store it's profile on a NAS. The only caveat is it does lock the files in use, so you can only access it from one workstation at a time. But as long as you close it down, then you can open it from any other workstation and have all your emails. Thunderbird will also import your OE emails.

Eudora would also be an option. It's now controlled by the Mozilla Foundation (same as Thuderbird) but I'm not sure if it has had a new release yet since recently being switched from a proprietary application under Qualcomm to being open source.
