I don't use it but I've heard pretty good things about K-9 Mail. Edit: also, have you tried downloading Gmail from the Market?

I have the gmail app on my phone, before I rooted my phone. The preinstall email app my phone came with had exchange activesync support.

K9 is free, and I think (maybe?) it has some support for activesync.

Roadsync is $10 and includes full activesync support with group contacts, calendar, etc.

Touchdown is probably the most full feautred email product. Its $25 but it seems to work pretty well.

I bought Roadsync since it does what I need (group contacts, outlook calendar) and it's simpler than Touchdown, which I also tried. Both have trial versions so you can try each one for free.

Download the Gapps zip and flash that. It will come with the stock Email.apk that has exchange support IIRC

I've been disappointed lately with the email on my Phone.
The stock email app stopped working with my yahoo accounts.
I installed the yahoo app and while it works, whenever I get a new email, it doesn't clear the notifier that I've viewed or deleted the previous mails, so at the end of the day it will say I have 100 unread messages.

I would make a gmail account (if you don't already have one) and have it grab the yahoo mail.
