eMail address banned?

A friend of mine recently turned me onto the Hot Deals forum at anandtech and I was immediately a fan. So like any good fan I registered b/c I wanted to help others find deals. However, when I tried to register with an eMail address that I use for most online things I was told the eMail address was banned. I have never been to anandtech before a couple of weeks ago and have done nothing to get banned. Just curious if anyone knows why this would be?
 
yahoo, hotmail, aol, and maybe others are banned. It's simply because trolls make accounts most frequently with such services, so it was easier to simply ban those addresses (surely he can find another place to get an account 🙂 ) than to deal with so many annoying trolls.

p.s. it was in fact a hotmail account that I couldn't register with.
 
Your email address is quite safe here on the forums, so I wouldn't worry about using a spambox. It could come in handy to have it as your personal email account if you start trading in the for sale/trade forum (where you're sure to get lots of great deals and spend lots of money 😀)
