Emachines T3085 video card upgrade

Hey my friend has a emachines T3085 and wants to upgrade the video card so he can play some newer games. i told him to look at something like a 6600 or 6800 and he wants this one
here and i just wanted to make sure everything it compatiable heres a link to the specs of his computer, he also added 2 stick of 512 each or memory. thanks for any replies

vcard is compatable but watch out for the command rate since he now has 3 sticks of ram


if he got pc3200 its just best to rip out the 2700 and just use the 3200s...

and he might need a better psu to support a 6800

Trying to upgrade is like trying to install a jet engine to a VW. Great machine but spend the money on a better gaming machine.

yea i kno what you mean but he doesnt really have much money and just got this comp like last year i think

Sounds like you gave your friend some good advice, is not a bad machine, the video card [66-6800] should be a perfect match for that setup.
