eMachines eTower 466id beeps 3 times just before shutting off.

I'm working with software on a friends computer. I know about POST codes, but this is three short low beeps that occur each time the PC shuts down. It's extremely annoying. After Google-ing for "eMachines+3+beeps", I see that some other people think that it's normal for their computer to do this, but they were having a problem that causes their machine to restart when told to shut down.
(this machine does not have the same problem)

eMachines' web site does not provide any BIOS updates or software for this computer.

My dad's eMachine from that era did the three-beeps-nighty-bye thing too. Don't let it bug you Since all of them do it, the ones that have problems do it by inclusion.

Yep, messed with an old e machine that did the three beeps thing. Just means that it's functioning normally.

I'm typing from a 466id right now. I've had it about 5 years and it's done the 3 beeps ever since I bought it. I actually find it pretty useful as a shut down confirmation...
