emachines bootup sequence-please help

A friend of mine has an emachine, an etower w/ a cyrix MII chip, 32MB ram, 2.1GB hd, and some other things. The thing doesn't seem to start up properly.

Could someone just tell me the sequence of beeps and lights that you normally see?

e.g. light in front of the case, hd accessing, motherboard beep, and so forth...?

I just got done working on a 333, I have no idea as to how it was beeping and stuff...easyest thing is if he can,t troubleshoot and find a solution..save what he wants and use the restore disc...
 
yah...that's the exact comp he has...i'm working on it now.

mobo or cpu seems dead.

it's new btw (well to him at least). given to him as a gift from his sister, who received it from someone else i believe.

well, the thing just won't boot. it turns on, but the screen is gone. i popped out the addon cards (modem and lan card) and tried booting w/ jsut the essentials- zilch.

i tried disabling the 3d graphics (ati on-board) and booting w/ a voodoo3 installed- nothing.

i have the jumpers so that it's running at 3.3v core, and 66mhz- is that correct for this mobo and cpu type?
the original jumper configuration that was on it when i started woring w/ it didn't work either.

i'm gonna test the ram and hard drive to make sure they are functional- which i think they are. believe the cpu's dead...

LMK about the jumpers...thx
