Have any of you had trouble or heard anything bad about these puppies, a friend of mine wants to get a computer,he's a newbie to computers, but dosen't want to spend more than he can chew. Any adivice would be greatly appreciated!

they suck. Not only are the made out of crap, they cost more than a comparable HP pavilion. Get a pavilion. I used to work there in the summer. They do a good job wit good components (micron or siemens ram, maxtor/quantum/seagate only, asus motherboards, delta powersupplies). Just make sure you reformat the hard drive and get all the easy to use crap off it

Get a computer from a local store that builds them from scratch- or their supplier does; one of these would be a lot more reliable and MUCH easier to work on. I've worked on both and know neither one is worth very much.

They use the lowest quality products that die off after a while and they cut every corner that they can.

My roommate had one and it just sucked. It ended up piled up on the corner collecting dust bunnies and he used mine whenever he needed to use a comp.
