A friend of mine has a emachine, i think its a celeron 333, 32 megs of ram. it has onboard video. Does anybody know if the video can be disabled , so another video card can be used? I cant get to the pc to check my self and he dos'nt know much about them , so I thought that maybe someone here could tell me and I can tell him and then he can get him a better video card and I could tell him how to install it over the phone. Thats all the info I have on the PC. thanks for the help.

ask him to find out what chipset, or onboard vid chip he has.. tell him to go into the bios, and under "advanced chipset feature" or something similar, there should be an option to disable it.. good luck..

Its a pc-chips board most likely.

It can probably use a PCI video card, you can disable onboard video in the bios.
