my m6807 dvd/rw just stopped working. I tried reloading the drivers , no joy. Spoke w/emachines and ask if I could get a tech manual, they said they don't have one. Can someone outline the steps I should take to see if I can get this working again. The device isa pioneer dvr ck12d, I can't even find any info on pioneer's sight. Any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated.

If your optical drive is modular (most are in laptops) - you should be able to get a replacement. OK - I see that it is not modular. 🙁

You will probably need to send it in for replacement unless you can find a local repair shop.
