Just picked up the M6805. Suprised that I bought a Emachine but after all the good reviews, I am happy I did. It does however need more memory to harness its gaming potential. Anyone know of any specific Pc2700 SoDimm that has been tested to work in it? Any diagrams to dig into its guts to swap out the 2nd stick?

Crucial.com is usually a good bet for adding memory to a pre-built system. Surprisingly, I can't find your model in their memory configurator, but if you pick up unbuffered non-parity modules, that ought to do the trick.

Thanks for your help. Now to find how to tear apart my laptop to upgrade it, 1 stick is easy to get to the other is inside somewhere.

The manual might have a diagram, did you check there yet?

heh this topic's been covered in the M6805 thread. Go to forums.amd.com and go into the notebook forums. Dude named WereShark there has detailed step by step instructions with pictures on how to access the second memory stick. Very useful. Forgot his webpage tho. I love this lappie
