Never seen Elton John in concert. Worth buying tickets for? Not like it's a money issue, but I've been disappointed in too many big name shows that didn't live up to expectations and would rather spend the $130 on something I know would be fun if his shows are cr@p.

I'm not a big Elton John fan but I did catch him when he toured with Billy Joel. Hes a great musician and song writer but compared to Billy Joel he was an boring performer. 90% the time he just sat at his piano playing and singing his songs where as Billy Joel was up and moving about the stage 75% of the time.

If you like Elton's songs and wouldn't mind him sitting at the piano and just playing - then it is worth it. But as a performer I was a little unimpressed. BUt he might be different by himself.

In a small venue like you've described, $65 would be a steal to see him.

In the bigger places like Madison Sq Garden, you'll pay $100 for the nosebleed seats where you wont' see him at all except on the Jumbo Tron. I'd go for it. :)

I'd just buy the latest concert DVD, plus CDs of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Madman Across the Water.

$65 would be cheap if you were seeing him 20 years ago, now it's probably a "guide track" instead of real singing.
