Can't you just feel the 'Love' ?

I think he'll get a hit song out of this - Pigs in the Wind

Wow, way to distort a quote there. He called the media swarming him pigs, not the people of Taiwan.

Not that I'm an Elton John fan, but at least get the story right in your topic.

"Do you know what that means? Rude, vile pigs. That's what all of you are."

One of the photographers shouted back: "Why don't you get out of Taiwan?"

John replied: "We'd love to get out of Taiwan if it's full of people like you. Pig! Pig!"
There goes the popularity contest.

I seriously doubt Elton John went to Taiwan thinking he was going to play for a country filled with rude vile pigs. Then again keeping a harem of boy toys probably costs mad cheddar . . .

IF the erst of the country WAS full of "rude, vile pigs", and it wasn't just the media there, I would agree with him. As it is I don't see how he insulted ALL the Taiwanese people. Some folks around here just LOVE to get their feelings hurt about nothing.

P.S. I'm sure someone of you will make a witty remark about how I "ar teh n00b", with 1 post, so my opinion must not be valid. Good luck with that.

TAIPEI (Reuters) - British rock star Elton John (news), in Taipei for a concert, swore "rude, vile pigs." at reporters who swarmed around him at the airport. Then the swine flu.

Too bad he didn't go RoadHouse like Bjork did awhile back, now that would have been funny. Something tells me there would be a lot of biting and slapping with Elton.
