I bought the Elsa Gladiac Ultra 64 and the Video In/Out module earlier this summer. I had an extrememly difficult time getting the Video In and Out functions working. After talking with Elsa technical support, I found out that the only way to get this card to fully support the Video In and Out functions is by using their driver based on the 07.56 nVidia release. No later release of the Detonator drivers will allow both the Vid In and Out to function.
My problem with this is that there are some video issues that happen to me when I play Half-Life that are resolved by using newer Detonator drivers. Elsa's website is horrible and it is very difficult to determine which drivers to use. They do have some 1240 drivers listed that, according to the description, would appear to work with the Video In/Out module, but they do not and this was confirmed by their tech support specialist.
Of course the Vid In part of the module only works under Windows 98, so this is not an issue that Windows 2000 will fix. I am using the newest Detonator drivers in Windows 2000 and Windows XP with no problems and the Video Out does work, but their is no Video In support.
Has anyone else dealt with this issue? Please let me know
