Elsa Gladiac 920 stock date

Hey, I ordered my Elsa G3 from buy.com the other night knowing that it was out of stock but after I e-mailed them I found out that they don't even expect their shipment for two more weeks at the earliest. Has anyone else ordered this card from buy.com and talked with a sales rep on expected time of arrival. My e-mail response seemed a little pessimistic because they said that two week thing and then said that they would completely understand if I wanted to cancel my order which just seemed either way too nice or just like who the hell cares what you do. Maybe it's just part of their generic response. Anyway, I hope to get mine soon.

Noone seems to have the Elsa cards in stock. Besides, Visiontek is manufacturing the cards and I'm sure that they are going to produce more of their own GF3 cards before they produce more cards for Elsa (I highly suspect they make more $$$ on their own cards).

Although it seems like an eternity, chances are if you wait another 3-4 weeks you will be able to snag one of these for under $350, especially with a coupon from one of the bigger chains (necxdirect.com, buy.com, etc). Those guys usually run sales in the summer because retail sales slow down.

The sweet spot for me will probably be right under $300. I wouldn't even buy the Elsa card, but I want the optimized Giants game, I played the regular demo and was quite impressed with it. Can't wait to see what it looks like optimized for GF3.

Of course if NVIDIA announces an Ultra GF3 between now and when I buy the card I will probably hold off on it.

Well I already got mine for under 350, I caught a sweet deal and got it for 337 plus shipping, that's why I am so hesitant to cancel my order on the Elsa and go for a different brand.

Yeah, you guys who caught the buy.com deal did quite well for yourselves. It's probably worth waiting for the board even if it takes a few weeks to get it. I am waiting on a retail K7 1.33 gig chip I got from necxdirect.com for $195 shipped. Even though it sucks that I don't have it, it's not worth spending an extra $50 to get it today.
