That's fantastic. So all these little twerps, and master twerp Elmo, creeps around a promotes neo fascist shit posters ... and at some point the metadata is gonna leak from twitter anyway and we'll get a gaze at the true assholeness of these "people".
What's not to like.

As people said I think he’s basically making features now based on what he’s getting shit on for.

The snowflake is snowflaking hard. His original complaint about Twitter was obvious projection, he wants his safe space and he doesn’t care who or how he silences people to make that happen.

Of course he’s free to do with Twitter as he pleases but the free market doesn’t have to respond in kind.

Wanna bet the checkmark is back - but without the reach?

Free speech absolutist indeed. His own. Fuck everyone else.

Little twerp still needs his bell rung by Zuck in that cage match. Cant believe his competition is not running a psyops campaign on his feeble Ego on this path. Seems so straight forward.

Have to say I always found Russel Brand irritating, even long before he embraced the anti-vax conspiracy-theorist right. I think the very first time I saw him was when he presented the chat-show that went alongside celebrity Big Brother (which itself I only watched, a little bit, off-and-on, for the fascination of seeing a politician like George Galloway turn out to be so bad at politicking - still baffled by that guy, have never known any political figure to bounce between triumph and fiasco so many times so rapidly).

And on that he (Brand) immediately struck me as both immensely irritating and subtly right-wing. Feel a bit smug that I spotted he was latently a right-winger so early on, because a lot of people didn't seem to see that.

Doesn't surprise me at all that al these allegations have come out. Even the confirmed facts about him are pretty sexist (e.g. that infamous phone call to Andrew Sachs, or his remarks about Rod Stewart's daughter).

But apparently in recent years he's gone openly alt-right.

Brand has amassed a large following on social media – 3.8 million accounts on Instagram, 2.2 million on TikTok and 6.6 million on YouTube – with his videos often featuring interviews with far-right influencers and promoting conspiracy theories on issues such as the Covid pandemic, the war in Ukraine and the climate crisis.

Videos he has posted in recent weeks include titles such as “What REALLY started the Hawaii fire?”, “State of fear! Covid propaganda exposed!” and “Zelensky’s MASSIVE Ukraine censorship EXPOSED.”

So _of course_ Musk has to side with him.

For a dude trolling as much as he do, he really had no grasp on social media when buying twatter did he? Talk about learning on the job.

"Elon Musk says his social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, could be introducing a paywall for all users. "The single most important reason that we are moving to having a small monthly payment for the use of the X system, is it is the only way I could think of to combat vast armies of bots," Musk said during a live stream on X with Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday."

I mean, didnt he pull a Trump before buying Twitter, stating something akin to fixing it would be "so easy"?

Making your user base evaporate seems like a great way to boost ad revenue.

This is wrong. I have seen no evidence that Musk is learning. He'd have to admit he was wrong and didn't know what he was doing first and that's not gonna happen.

When the final implosion comes he's going to blame everybody but himself. That he Dunning-Krugered himself into the worst takeover in modern business history is just a matter of record now to the rest of us.

Is Musk trying to lovebomb T-Swizzle?

I don’t think Musk is all that interested in Taylor Swift. He just wants her legion of fans. She has a lot of social status, and that’s what he craves endlessly.

Also ... Swift never tried to float down the Mississippi in a homemade houseboat with a flock of chickens like Zelda Xox, aka Grimes. Swift lacks that space-cadet mental derangement that Elon so values. Also, no X's and I's in her name.

Although .... She’s tall, blonde, and intelligent. Ideal breeding stock for Musk's all-white Martian utopia.

I'd like to see her respond by telling all her fans to delete their Twitter and move to Threads.

Musk has done this shit lately. Last week it was Bill Maher. He tries to persuade celebrities to publish stuff on X/Twitter rather than their usual platforms. He seems to hold up Tucker Carlson as an example of someone who uses X as their main distribution outlet, except Musk lies by conflating impressions - the number of times a tweet is seen - with actual video views. It comes across as a desperate. If he had any self-awareness, he’d realize that he’s now become a cheap shill, spamming celebrities to get them to contribute more content to his dumpster-fire platform. All while announcing that he’s soon going to start charging them for the privilege.

In other Musk news....Elon is done killing monkeys with his neural implants and is ready to start killing human beings now.

From the article:

The necropsy for Animal 22 clearly states that “the failure of this implant can be considered purely mechanical and not exacerbated by infection.”

i.e. They didn’t even get something as simple as securely screwing a part into place right, never mind hard stuff like interfacing neurons to electronics.

I dunno ... I think he’s going to find that when his human test subjects start suffering crippling brain damage that he won’t just be able to have them euthanized and declare that they were probably gonna die anyway.

The sad part is that the same people who are convinced that the covid vaccine is full of tracking devices, mind control drugs, and chemicals that rewrite your DNA so that your no longer human will probably be lining up to let Musk staple a Bluetooth adapter to their frontal cortex.

Although ... We’re talking about people who believe that the world’s financial and political elite are literal blood-sucking vampires, and that the point man fighting to expose them is Donald Trump. So, they are not big on internal consistency.

I’m reasonably confident that much if not most of the information being delivered to him by exhausted underlings is altered if not entirely fictional. Musk seems like a messenger killer. So if he’s demanding expansion of content views, his staff will make him a Potemkin village of reports that say exactly that.

This is a deliberate misrepresentation on his part. What he’s been doing is conflating impressions with views. Every time you scroll past a tweet on your feed or a video plays for two seconds, that counts as an impression, and he’s treating every one as if they read the whole tweet or watched the whole video, and he’s acting as if every impression represents a unique viewer and not one person scrolling past the same post 50 times.

I expect him to claim at some point that 11 billion people watched the latest Tucker Carlson video, “not including the bots”.
