Cheers. I don't like to judge. People sometimes have bad days and they take it out on others. Worked with similar people over the years. I shrug and move on. There's always a few on any enthusiast forum.
That's a very reasonable point of view that I used to share. Now I just say a quiet goodbye. There are plenty of people that I enjoy hearing from. It's not much different than changing the channel.

It's not a one off.

Landlords don't give a shit what the signs says as long as they get paid. Are SF business complex landlords special cases?
Dude.. commercial landlords abso-freakin-lutely care about that kind of stuff. Commercial lease agreements are usually as specific as a Van Halen gig contract.

Landlord? Why doesn't he just buy the building?
I would assume that taking over the lease was part of the twitter purchase.
Based on increasing vacancy rates and sinking commercial property values in SF, not buying the building is a really good idea.

The Mad King is now claiming it's near break even with only 1500 employees left:

First, I don't think it's accurate that "most of it's advertisers have returned". Second, breaking even is a long way from a $250B valuation like he hinted at achieving a few weeks ago.

are there too many zeroes in that sum? I don't think twitter can aver be valued that high unless he's high

A major advertising holding company continues to caution clients with regards to their use of Twitter. They still see the direct interaction with customers as valuable, but the potential damage to brand reputation is still substantial, both from impersonators, and the fact that you don't want your ads and tweets showing up next to Nazis.

If you could bet every time that Elon was lying about something you'd rarely bust.

Well, Twitter is dead and whatever remains has been merged into "X-Corp" ... let the fuckery continue. Mr Hairy Balls, the floor is yours.

Yes, the only requirement being that you be born heir to one or more emerald mines.
I've been told my entire life that the second million is easy.
I'll also note that if I was a wealthy young man I to would flee a very fucked up country to avoid conscription.
Musk was notable oddity before he bought twitter, now he's an evil monster bent on the destruction of America by taking over a glorified message board. You're going to have to excuse me for not being able to come up with much of a fuck to give one way or the other.

Hmm, so you want the USA to be a more fucked up country to required military service

It's not so much that you're indifferent or dull, its your exceptional lack of vision that throws people off.
