Now Halli is calling up his lawyer: Can Elmo just un-fire me like that? We still good to go?
Translation: My lawyers have read his employment agreement and explained how totally fucked I am and that I have exposed the company not only to breach of contract liability if I do not pay but an employment discrimination lawsuit that I will loose.

He may stick around just to piss Musk off xdEh, there better be a damn good reason for that guy to stick around. I'm pretty sure he's got more than enough ammo (just with the tweets) for any # of employment claims. It'd have to be something really specific to his acquisition to make me stay. Like, an 8 figure no show job.
I love how he thinks "I unfired you and then you quit" is a real defense.Translation: My lawyers have read his employment agreement and explained how totally fucked I am and that I have exposed the company not only to breach of contract liability if I do not pay but an employment discrimination lawsuit that I will loose.

I have no first-hand experience, but the Elantra Hybrid is generally considered the best hybrid in its class (compact, affordable passenger car). Affordable new cars are slim pickings these days so it's basically the Elantra or new Prius; or stretch your budget to a mid-sized sedan.Thanks. How do you like the Elantra Hybrid so far? I want a bigger hybrid, but just can't afford a RAV4 Hybrid, and would probably have to wait 5 months for one if I could.
Couple mechanics I know swear by Hyundai. Their warranty is impressive too, if the small print isn' too crazy?
True but peak times aren't universal. My provider's peak hours are adjusted based on weather. This past summer they considered 7 am to 2 am peak hours. That was a nice bill...Most people don't charge their EV during peak times and a lot of home EV charging can be time shifted to off peak times. I charge mine between 2400-0600 because that is when I have the lowest rates for charging. How did the electrical grid ever adjust to when people started adding home AC?
What percentage of new US car sales do EV's have to be, before it is no longer a niche market?
You're referring to the GMC Hummer EV then? When those figures were released I was sure they were wrong. Come to find out they are the true figures. I can't imagine that driving into me and me surviving. We need some real regulations on vehicle weight for non-commercial vehicles. 10,000 pound vehicles will just be straight up deadly to people in normal cars. Not to mention bikers and walkers.
We also should be encouraging better use of limited resources. You could make 2+ bolt battery packs from the one hummer pack. You could also make probably 6 plug in hybrids.
Yeah, the Hummer and a Suburban would likely be nearly as bad. I think the full size trucks are sitting around 8 kips and have insane acceleration. I foresee them all doing quite a bit of property and human damage. You're referring to the GMC Hummer EV then? When those figures were released I was sure they were wrong. The Suburban is remarkably light for a full size SUV. The Model 3 or was it the X weighs about as much as it does. I used to own a Suburban donkeys years ago and never found it cumbersome. I probably would today, but I'm sure the new models make it easier to drive. What we really need is new battery tech where batteries can be 1/3 the weight they are now. As I see it now most EVs are going to be incredibly dangerous to people in ice vehicles where the heft of the vehicle can't take the sudden impact. Exploding packs aside ofc.Yeah, the Hummer and a Suburban would likely be nearly as bad. I think the full size trucks are sitting around 8 kips and have insane acceleration. Cause Europe is not a single country and even tough EU has bennefits, it's also different from the States in the US, so one country like Germany can build infrastructure better, while Bulgaria cannot as fast. Besides that, there is no common upgrading of infrastructure of both electricity transport and delivery that is gonna definitely be needed when the EoL of ICE will be here. Why is the EU not that Rosy? There are DC charging stations also in the EU. They even managed to narrow down to a single plug type, unlike North America.
The problem with heft is what it does to other cars, sure you might be marginally safer in a Hummer, but everyone else around you is less safe. The Suburban is remarkably light for a full size SUV. Though there is safety in such heft. I remember some nasty collisions where a Tesla was totaled but the heft of the car took all the damage and the normal ice car looked like a crumpled up cola can. There are crashed where a tesla's structure will fail and result in fatal injury but the overall accident statistic may be in favor of ev's.
It would be neat if someone figured out in the future how to take the properties of reversing magnets and apply it to EVs so they can slow down significantly before a crash. Although that's almost scifi levels of lore.

Which utility provider had peak hours of 19-hours a day?
Yes, there is a risk with sharing public roads. However, we don't have to make that risk worse by dumping excessively heavy and large personal vehicles onto the roads. One of the first Model S accidents I remember reading about (curb weight 4,500+ pounds) was that the guy rear-ended an older-model car. His car got a dent, but the people in the vehicle ahead of him were killed. So the weight is definitely a factor, lugging around all those batteries! But we also drive around dump trucks, busses, 80,000-pound semi-trucks, etc., so it's just a risk of sharing public roads, unfortunately.
A corollary:
"Oh you have've driven in 10 years? No problem at all. Here's your truck with trailer. Enjoy!"

A dump truck has a propose other than to make someone feel better about themselves. Dump trucks also don't accelerate at any where near the rates of these new EVs and can't go 100 mph.One of the first Model S accidents I remember reading about (curb weight 4,500+ pounds) was that the guy rear-ended an older-model car. A Hummer is putting everyone else on the road at risk, so the driver can feel tough. Similar with most full size trucks.

I hope that guy takes that piece of shit human Elon to the cleaners.
I don't see why he would be able to do that but as Twitter's largest shareholder going after Twitter isn't that different than going after Elon.If he can pierce that Corporate liability shield and go after Musk personally instead of Twitter the company.
