That we should tax the living shit of rich people, so that individuals don't end up with the wealth of a small nation.A cautionary tale or just a funny one?

This is a much bigger issue than Twitter/Elon but the whole "If you don't happily accept the massive change in the terms of your employment, you are quitting" thing needs to go away. If a company over night decides you have to move, or work vastly different hours, etc and you refuse, it should be a firing/layoff not a resignation.
Yes?
It overall sucks that so much is being wasted for literally nothing and thousands of lives upended for this though.
Ok the only thing that makes this even sadder is the company responded with what amounts to “you thought we’d do some good? Bahahahahaha”This is going on right now. Just screen captured this. The account is clearly labelled parody and yet who knows how many are buying it based on the replies. It's been up for two hours.

Hard to believe companies are not beating down the door to advertise on this website anymore.

Yeah I mentioned this before. Really sucks for a shit ton of Twitter employees, of which I assume, MOST are good people. Really sucks.
Blame Elon for being such a piece of shit human, I mean he had to learn his lesson eventually, but when you have to take down super billionaires, they will always take a lot of collateral damage with them. I wish that fucker would just fade into the sunset without fucking with the lives of thousands. But that's how narcissist socipaths work. I hope a lot of people learn more about his kind from this, is the best hope we can have.

To learn a lesson, he would have to accept responsibility for this mess he created. The Trumps and Musks of the world always blame other people for their messes.
Hardcore, like hardcore porn, like "Go fuck yourself, Elon?"I can’t tell how much of Musk’s failure is deliberate. Like is he genuinely a moron, or is this all just petty petulance?
They'll be beating down the doors, just not the ones that bring money into Twitter.Hard to believe companies are not beating down the door to advertise on this website anymore.

Twitter meets office space

Im full remote and I can see what you’re saying. It’s kinda cool, but a hybrid model would probably be pretty cool too. I think a full office model would suck thoAs an aside, I don't get the hate that so many SWEs have for even hybrid office/home schedules.
I've worked full remote, office and so-called "hybrid", and full remote is just a terrible experience IMO.
I really love the office, I enjoy the people, I enjoy seeing my team members etc. I get that sometimes commute is hard, but even a day or two in the office make a big difference for me.
And I've done fully remote in an office-driven field, and I love it. No commute, I get to hang out with my dog who has major separation anxiety, and connectivity tools are good. I still go down to our NY office or big client meetings if I have to. I can see that it isn't for everyone, so the ideal situation should be to offer hybrid or remote to people instead of forcing people and pushing for presentee-ism.As an aside, I don't get the hate that so many SWEs have for even hybrid office/home schedules.
