Elmo book asks kid "Who wants to die?!"

Text
A mother in Dallas is one of several parents complaining about a new interactive book for toddlers in which Sesame Street character Elmo asks "who wants to die?" according to a Local 6 News report.

Family members said 16-month-old Miranda Boll's new book, "Potty Time With Elmo," was supposed to teach an interactive lesson using voice commands.

However, when the book's buttons are pressed, it reportedly says something it is not supposed to -- "who wants to die?"

"It's a sick joke," mother Angela Bolls said. "If it's a joke then it's a bad one, you know? And it's not necessary. It's inappropriate."

Bolls said she checked another copy of the same book and found that it says something completely different; "Who wants to try to go potty?"

The company that makes the book said it has had several complaints concerning the book, according to the report.

The link contains a video clip where you can hear Elmo asking the question, pretty funny especially if there are more books out there with the same message!

here's a thought, why not teach your kid yourself how to go to the bathroom instead of relying on a book to do it?

i think thats pretty funny what it says though. people are so fvcking uptight

that lady shouldn't have complained, she should have went straight to ebay, golden palace would give her $20k and she'd be fin.

unless she's looking to sue

I can see it now "Elmo taught my daughter that we die. I'm suing for pain and suffering and mental anguish. I didn't want my daughter to know people die!"

For some reason, that doesn't suprise me at all..

I'm 99% sure that she will sue..

It's the American Way..

Of course she's looking to sue. It's the 'merican thing to do.

Instead of who wants to die they should have done "who wants a golden shower"

you know, just keeping with the theme of the book.

If you don't poop you will die....that's all Elmo's saying

According to my mom, if you don't poop, it comes out of your mouth!

Actually that is true. Saw this program where these kids ate so badly with 0 fibre in their diets that they had weeks and weeks of crap in their gut causing a uh... backlog. Eventually they began to vomit faeces... can you imagine it? not cool.

Southpark had an episode where you ate through your ass and pooped through your mouth.

Have you ever taught a kid to go potty? Didn't think so.

Imitating their favorite characters is an amazingly effective way to get them started.
