Elizabeth Warren is interested in my opinion... yeah, right

So, I saw yet another Facebook ad telling me that Elizabeth Warren wants my opinion on something. I learned a long time ago not to click on these, because they always quickly cut to a hard sell stating that she "needs" your recurring monthly donation to defeat Trump in 2020. There is nothing new about this, most of the other Democratic candidates are doing the same thing.

So, here's my question... how much money would I need to donate to a Democratic presidential candidate for them to REALLY care about my opinion? $10,000? $50,000? Do I get a discount if I happen to have a million Twitter followers and/or live in a swing state with early voting? I'm curious what the real price is for face time with a presidential candidate nowadays. There must be a standard donation for this kind of access... right?

Warren doesn't need your money to care about what is best for you. She already does.

Warren may not care about your opinion. Trump and the GOP only do if you are lockstep (or goosestep perhaps) with them.

Hey now, don't make this a Republican/Democrat thing. I'd imagine that Trump's Facebook ads work the exact same way.

I'm just legitimately curious how much it costs to buy a meeting with a presidential candidate nowadays.

Sometimes political discussion is much like the "solution" of separate but equal and no one can talk about issues unless those lines are invoked.

In this case Warren has people who will sift through and come to a consensus view which then hopefully is seriously considered by Warren.

In the case of Trump it works in reverse. Trump wants or sees something his way, tells the Party and Fox etc to tell his supports what they want.

As individuals? No, not in the first case as it is impossible to please everyone. With Trump neither you nor any other person or groups matter, not the nation at all. Top down management and the peasants (us) are a means to his ends and we had better get in line.

The two are alike in there being a hierachy but completely opposite in effect.

I would think that I could buy a meeting with Trump as well, but my campaign donation would have to be a lot bigger. I'd probably have to add an extra zero to get an audience with a sitting president.

Nah, it is easy-peasy to get an audience with Trump. Just practice this phrase until it rolls off the tongue and then give Rudy a call to fix you up.

I dunno. Ask Lev Parnas & Igor Fruman. They know.

Is there any evidence that Warren is giving preferential treatment to big donors in her policy agenda?

Some politicians are easy to buy, like some Democrats and basically the entire Republican Party. She doesn’t appear to be one.

You're not special, I get ads on Facebook from all sorts of politicians I would never vote for, most people probably do too. It's fun to read some of the comments though.

What is the opinion of yours that you think Warren should care about?

Go to a town hall/campaign stop and tell her your opinion when they ask for questions, unlike Trump it can happen.

Cult Leaders don't ask what people believe. They tell people what to believe. Hail Trump, ya stupid bastids. Nobody does it better.
