It's not a "both sides" it's "the full story" Dr. Toolbag.

Everyone in the politically correct left these days (going all the way up to fucktards that say we should get rid of Thanksgiving) have been acting like these Indian tribes were at all peaceful in anyway... Just playing banjos, drums, and humming tunes while doing cultural dances. They definitely weren't committing war crimes of their own - killing husbands of rivals, killing the children and making the women into sex slaves... No no never!

It wasn't the case at all. Up until the very end (that you guys love to grasp as if it encompassed all of the conflicts) the colonists were dying AND losing at that. Back in the days "dur hur we have a musket that can fire 1 round every 20 seconds" you had on the other-side bows/arrows that could fire by the second.

This is a caricature and a straw-man. How 'peaceful' or otherwise pre-industrial peoples were is something nobody seems to agree on, certainly not 'the left'. Personally I just generally assume the past was crap - all of it, including all the bits conservatives view with rose-tinted specs, meaning they want to make a fetish of thanksgiving. The present is a bit rubbish as well. And things are probably only going to get worse in the near future.

Man the politically correct nut-cases really do have you guys shoving your head fully in your arse these days.

No one here is denying the slaughter of native americans. No one.

But you are denying that this was a battle. And that is just pure retard. This isn't leading Indians into internment camps and gasing them.

It was taking them on death marches though. And slaughtering unarmed civilians. Most of it was not a 'battle'.

So you're refuting that there was a genocide of the native american population?

Acknowledging the genocide of the native american population by Europeans isn't exclusive of saying NA peoples didn't indulge in their own genocide of other tribes. For example the Aztecs did their damnest to genocide the Tlaxcalans and other Mesoamerican peoples to feed their lust for human sacrifices and damn near succeeded. Main difference is that Europeans had both the means and inclination to take the fight to all tribes in the western hemisphere and the staying power to finish off the job over a few centuries. Just like the people of Eurasia, the Mesoamerican people spanned the gamut from peaceful pastoralists to epically bloodthirsty serial committers of horrific atrocities.

And none of the above changes the fact that you bothsides'd the shit out of genocide.

Keep digging that hole, convincing yourself that you aren't digging a hole.

Do you know how to hold two true statements in your head at once? Unless you're an Aztec or one of the tribes that committed genocide then you're not included in the "bothsides" equation.

You brought the Aztecs into this conversation as a diversion. This started as you bothsidesing genocide, then trying to divert divert divert to save face.

Just admit that you made a dumb as fuck statement and move on.

You insinuate that by using the term genocide that the native american groups were innocent people - with no history of war, sex slavery, rape, pillaging, etc... Will you acknowledge that the majority of tribes were committing their own genocide?

Yeah an example of a tribe that actually committed genocide of its neighbors is a diversion. If you want to be wrong by ignoring any history outside of what Europeans did to Mesoamericans that's fine but be aware you're being deliberately ignorant. This isn't a scorekeeping exercise where we're debating whether 5MM or 6MM jews were killed in the Holocaust, you're attempting to erase the real history of Aztecs and others from existence when discussing inconvenient things. It doesn't somehow make what the Europeans did any better to ignore what others did, it actually contextualizes it.

Never said that, of course they killed each other, and nobody was ever refuting that. Why do you feel that 'softens the blow' of genocide by a foreign invader?

See above. No i am not. I'm curious as to why @s0me0nesmind1 feels that pointing out what native populations did to each other somehow makes it okay, or makes it better, that Europeans committed atrocities on the native populations, aka bothsidesing.

It doesn't and the entire discussion is a sideshow anyway. Nothing in Warren's professional, family, or genetic history caused her loss. Like I said earlier she was #1 in polls in October and her debate performance was the exact moment you can pinpoint where she lost the election. Primary cause was her refusal to answer the M4A tax question. Secondary and perhaps more baffling self-inflicted wound was her oblivious answer on trade policy vs. automation simply killed off any chance of her winning the blue collar folks who defected from Hillary to Trump last time and lost any chance of her winning the Rust Belt states. Yang wounded her and Mayor Pete struck the mortal blow.

Gotta love how everyone here is so partisan they can't even watch opposing viewpoints. Cognitive dissonance at its finest.

Carry on.

Ya gotta love how some tards can't tell the difference between politically motivated PAC funded propaganda and actual journalism.

Not even a little bit. They constantly confuse the two while ignorantly proclaiming they are immune to influence.

The very action of posting that video as though it were ANY kind of objective journalism points to your own partisanship,. and not the people who soundly reject PAC funded propaganda. Propaganda fraudulently disguised as objective journalism so poorly,. they're obviously using the Nigerian email scam tactic of making the information low enough quality so as to weed out any critical thinkers and suck in only gullible fools.

Well its nice to see the OP can still build a proper cesspit thread and then proceed to fill it all the way up with shitposting.

I guess at least its nice to see you've moved on from your source of news being hard hitting pieces about game streamers selling dirty bathwater and whichever Chan you're apparently getting your daily fix of child porn and racism.
