Elite p6-bat A+ stopped working when USB Camera plugged in!

I have a Elite P6 Bat A+ Pentium 3 motherboard running a p3 500 (slot1) with 128MB ram, a Nvidia Riva TNT2 32MB Graphics card and a western digital 10.2Gb Hard Disk. I set this up as a server for a small lan party I held, and my mate gave me the Philips Vesta Pro USB web cam. When I plugged it in to my PC it wokred fine, but on this PC with the Elite motherboard the PC literally blew up, and just the screen flashed and the whole pc stopped working. I tried a new PSU but that wasn't the problem, and no power is being supplied to my CPU fans now, and the PC wont boot up. I tried resetting the baord but no luck, any help???
