Elite Force 2, has it ended already?

Hi,
I got Elite Force 2 on friday, and upto to now, have played on it 7hours and 47 minutes (according to the game).
Now, ive done the romulan outpost infiltration, and now when walking around the enterprise, i get everyone that i talk to saying "looks like this is it munro" or "This might finally end" or " its going to get pretty rough down there munro, i`d take as much weaponry and ammo as you can carry", So am i on the last mission? I`d be a bit dissapointed if it is, cos EF2 was supposed to be far longer than EF1.

Im a bit fed up of games being easy to complete/short lately, I get a game one day, and within a week its completed, often far less, like 1-2 days. The only game that ive played recently that hasnt been really easy to complete, is Deus Ex, and ive played that 3 times thus far.

Now, i know that it only got released in the US yesterday, and that very few of you have probably got it upto now / havnt got very far in the game, but im betting that theres at least a few people who have completed already.

Thanks in advance guys.

Nothing to say about EF2, but if you're looking for a game that isn't easily completed, try jumping into the RPG realm 😉

These days 90% of FPS contain singleplayer as a tutorial for multiplayer, if you catch my drift.

How is EF2 in multiplayer? If the game's singleplayer is that short, i'm betting the multiplayer is where the devs have placed most of their eggs.

I havnt tryed MP yet.
The only RPG i like is DeusEx, the rest of them are crap. All Ghouls and Goblins. lol.
Im eagerly awaiting DeusEx2, more so than HL2 and D3 put together.

I just find it a bit daft. I dont like LOTR either, its the same basic thing.
I just dont see the point in it to be honest.
If i was to play a RPG, where i was developing my character, i would want to play one where i could get cool abilitys/weapons, not some potion that makes you glow and sword.
Look at it this way, who would win out of some magical dude out of a fantacy RPG, with a sword and some rubbish magic spell, or someone like JC Denton, with a Assault Shotgun and Grenade Launcher? The Fantacy dude would be a burning heap of crap on the ground before he could say "abra cadabra". Need i say more?

Then play Fallout 1 & 2, RPGs set after World War 3, with uzis and plasma rifles. Or Jagged Alliance 2 for X-Com style turn-based goodness using gernades and assault rifles.

That is longer than the first Elite Force. I think that the makers of EFII said it is 150% the length of the original; I finished the first game in two sittings. That was a darn quick game; they need to take lessons from Half Life. That thing just kept on going; I was expecting it to end any time, but the maps kept going on and on.

Gotta admit though, its quality and not quantity that matters. Its better that they made fewer quality levels, than loads of sub standard ones.
Nice while it lasted though.

I don't know.... my character in Morrowind could easily take on my Denton in Deus Ex (focused on sniping and melee), considering that my Morrowind character has a robe that does constant heal... 🙂

You should give Morrowind a try. It's a very immersive world. I would've love it if Deus Ex gave you that kind of freedom.

DeusEx its mor story baced, and so is limited in its freeform ability, although what theyve done is great.
In DeusEx, you can get a augmentation that heals you constantly, and another that renders melee weapons and projectile ones (excluding rockets) useless, So i think my character would kick any fantacy characters a$$. And i have invisibility, and infared vision, and.... Needless to say. You would die. lol.
Anyway, my mate suggested Morrowind, but the fantacy setting doesnt appeal to me.

GOTHIC 2!

The fps genre has run terribly stale🙁 Im a big fps fan and I havent played a good one in awhile RTCW, CS, UT, HalfLife........and thats it!🙁 I want a good fps badly! Maybe S.T.A.L.K.E.R or HL:2?

In the mean time...RPGs(Gothic2) and sports titles like Madden or Tiger Woods are the only games that give a gamer his moneys worth🙁 (I include sports titels due to thier ENDLESS replayability).

I have EF2 setting on my HD and I have only played up to where I find the first ship in space where the crew has been killed by aliens or something and I need to restore gravity to the ship. The game so far is WAYYY too much like everyother halfass fps Ive played latley🙁
