The transcript is very revealing.
He is done !

The act happened in the Mayflower hotel in Washington.
He started at 3600.00 and she said , how about 1500.00 more.
He hadn't even seen her at that point, just over the phone deal.
She described herself so he would know her when he got there.

Nice hotel btw:
http://www.marriott.com/hotels...sance-mayflower-hotel/

from the hotels site:
There may be a fee for some guest services. Not all features and services are available in all rooms. Contact hotel for details.

Hrm....

Stupid Flanders!

The fact that he's married with kids and cheated on his wife is more of a put-off than the ho-banging IMHO.

Is that considered cheating? He didn't love the whores. He paid for the sex. Just asking.

I assume you are single...right? Get used to it.

Actually I'm engaged. But I'm sure I'm not the only person that gets tired of f***ing the same person. Now I have to do it for another 50 years? F**k that.

Ask the wife.

Well the vows said to love, cherish, and obey. It didn't say he couldn't have sex. This is something I've been thinking about for a long time. So long as he's not giving his heart to another woman, he isn't technically cheating. Besides, women care more about love than sex when it comes to relationships. Men are opposite.

So then what does that part about "forsaking all others" mean? If you don't think this is cheating or against marriage vows you're nuts.

Edit: Just saw you are engaged. Good luck trying to convince your new wife that you can bang any chick you want as long as you don't fall in love with them.

Spitzer's replacement will be the first black governor of NY and the first blind governor ever. Interesting.

NYC and NY state aren't the same thing. Most of the state will be looking to light torches and burn him out like Boris Karloff in the original Frankenstein.

I know; one of my friends works for the (R) party in NY and she just texted me saying that they are going to call for his resignation. Nothing like breaking news to light up a Monday...

Yes, I think you should. You sound too immature to think about marriage right now. Get the oat sowing out of your system first.

While you can write your own vows if you want... these are traditional vows:

Minister says to the groom: "_____, wilt thou have ____ to be thy wedded wife, to live together after God's ordinance, in the holy estate of matrimony? Wilt thou love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health; and forsaking all others, keep thee only unto her, so long as ye both shall live?"

From here...

It seems as if that "forsaking all others" part is a recurring theme.

Spitzer's statement.

March 10, 2008, 3:18 pm
?I Apologize to the Public?

Following is an excerpt from Gov. Eliot Spitzer?s statement to the public, delivered at his Midtown Manhattan office on Monday afternoon:
[inaudible] ? politics that would rebuild New York and create opportunity for all. We vowed to bring real change to New York and that will continue. Today, I want to briefly address a private matter. I have acted in a way that violated the obligations to my family and that violates my ? or any ? sense of right and wrong. I apologize first, and most importantly, to my family. I apologize to the public, whom I promised better. I do not believe that politics in the long run is about individuals. It is about ideas, the public good and doing what is best for the State of New York. But I have disappointed and failed to live up to the standard that I expect of myself. I must now dedicate some time to regain the trust of my family. I will not be taking questions. Thank you very much. I will report back to you in short order. Thank you very much.

More than 100 reporters, along with 30 television cameras and 20 still photographers, had awaited Mr. Spitzer?s announcement ? originally scheduled for 2:15 p.m. ? in a packed briefing room at the governor?s office at 633 Third Avenue. As the door opened, Mr. Spitzer had his arm around his wife, Silda Wall Spitzer; the two nodded and then strode forward together. Both had glassy, tear-filled eyes, but they did not cry.

The governor ? addressing reports that he had been caught on a federal wiretap arranging to meet with a high-price prostitute at a Washington hotel last month ? spoke for perhaps a minute, declining to take questions and remaining silent on his political future. As he prepared to leave, three reporters screamed out, ?Are you resigning? Are you resigning?? Mr. Spitzer charged out of the room, slamming the door.

Oh puhlease. Spare me the moral beatdown. I'm being honest here and you're calling me immature? It's easy for women to have only one sex partner but very difficult for men. That's why in many culture men have multiple wives. That's why men cheat on their wives. That's why men have porno collections. It has nothing to do with immaturity.

Oh my, read this from the transcript about what the prostitute had to say about him afterwards.

February 14, 2008, at approximately 12:02 a.m.,
TEMEKA RACHELLE LEWIS, a/k/a "Rachelle," the defendant, received
a call from "Kristen." During the call, "Kristen" told LEWIS ,
that "he," a reference to Client-9, had left. LEWIS asked
"Kristen" what time he got there, and "Kristen" said "15 after .
. . maybe 10." LEWIS asked "Kristen" how she thought the
appointment went, and "Kristen" said that she thought it went
very well. LEWIS asked "Kristen" how much she collected, and
'Kristen" said $4,300. "Kristen" said that she liked him, and
that she did not think he was difficult. "Kristen" stated: 'I
don't think he's difficult. I mean it's just kind of like . . .
whatever. . . I'm here for a purpose. I know what my purpose is.
I am not a . . . moron, you know what I mean. So maybe that's
why girls maybe think they're difficult . . . . " "Kristen"
continued: "That's what it is, because you're here for a
[purpose]. Let's not get it twisted - I know what I do, you
know." LEWIS responded: "You look at it very uniquely, because .
. . no one .ever says it that way." LEWIS continued that from
what she had been told "he" (believed to be a reference to
Client-9) "would ask you to do things that, like, you might not
think were safe - you know - I mean that . . . very basic things.
. . . "Kristen" responded: "I have a way of dealing with that .
. . I'd be like listen dude, you really want the sex? . . . You
know what I mean." Near the end of the call, LEWIS and "Kristen"
discussed "Kristen's" departure via Amtrak, the room that Client
9 had provided for "Kristen," and "Kristen's" share of the cash
that Client-9 had provided to her. (Call 9750R)

And it wasn't his first time using the service :
LEWIS told Client-9 that his balance was
$2,721.41, and that if he wanted to do an additional "150OU or
even "2000" it would be better. Client-9 said that he did not
know if he could get to a machine to do that, but he would see.
LEWIS said that 'Kristen" would go directly to room ,871

You are a master at rationalization and making excuses for yourself. You should not marry unless you have made it clear to your wife to be she won't be the only one.

Got it. No need to beat me over the head with this moral crusade. The fact is when guys are jerking off to some porno and not telling their wives, that's cheating, if you interpret what those vows mean. Women have men beat in this game of marriage because they can hold out much longer. It's like having a swimming contest against a fish.
