I would do the same thing. As far as I am concerned anything with more than four legs is on my kill list. One of the nice things about living up north not much in the way of big bugs.

we have scorpions in nw fl also. theyre fairly small, but unsettling just the same. spiders dont bother me. i actually like them, and much to my family's displeasure, avoid killing them whenever possible. id rather have spiders, than the bugs they help control. many nights i walk into the kitchen and see 2 or 3 of those hairy spiders.
