Hello, I'm a portuguese student of the graduation above.
I need to choose 3 fields of study in 6 possible. I want to know from the people who is now working in the areas which field is now, more required and well paid.
I know it's subjective but I just want opinions.

Energy Transport (High/low voltage..)
Energy Use (Electricalmechanic conversion...)
Eletronics (circuit design)
Robotics and Manufacture
Control
Digital Systems
Telecom

Telecom is currently a well growing field. That rely's heavily on Digital systems for transporting the signals. Add in electronics for circuit board designs to back up the other two choices and you have a decent combo.

Circuit design, Robotics and, control systems for anything in manufacturing.
Automation is where things are going to replace as many blue-collar jobs as possible. It's the wave of the future and the rise of the machines.

A perfect example are these companies trying to manufacture control systems for self-driving trucks. Lofty-goal, but low hanging fruit because if they get it right and can insulate themselves from lawsuits/failures.....companies will be willing to pay a lot of money for trucks that are allowed to drive all day and night and never need more than refueling and service. I have no doubts they plug right into the OBDII connectors and read all the engine stats right from the computer...

Retail industries and anywhere they pay minimum wage, they'll be trying to automate to reduce staffing. It'll be interesting to see what jobs are left in another 20 years.
