Has anyone heard about the DS game: Elektroplankton?

It's this really interactive music making game for the DS and on gamestop and ebgames it used to show a release date of 1/8/2006, but now it's not even on their website anymore.

Does anyone know anything about this title and it's release date?

Thanks.

Nintendo has decided to make this game extremely hard to find in retail stores and even on-line. Because it's "different", they apparently had second thoughts on releasing it here in North America, so they're limiting it's release..

But I hear Circuit City is suppose to have it by the 11th. Check it out...

I see....I had a feeling it was gonna be a really "limited" release. =/

Bummer...hope i can get my hands on a copy. I don't want to have to buy it at an inflated price on ebay.

Unfortunately, I think probably 50% of the people that will purchase this game, are doing it only to throw it up on Ebay. :-/

I played this on a coworker's Japanese DS - he imported it at least a couple of months ago. I literally spent 40 minutes of my 1 hr lunch break sitting in his office playing with this "game". I never knew music generation could be so fun....let alone so hypnotic.

If I ever bought a DS it would solely be for this title.

Had the import...Was AWESOME...For a week. Now mind you, I love music games, so I knew what I was getting into, but it was just a bore and lame after a week or so.

Hmm...I hope it won't be like that, but it very well could be.

I got bored FAST with Nintendogs. When it first came out I was having a blast for the first 2 weeks. Then it just dropped and lost all it's gameplay value. So repetitive and boring.

I hope this won't be the same :/

I don't know....for me it got so boring after a week. It was fun to hook it to my PC (just used a 3 dollar cord from raidoshack from headphones out) to make my own MP3's with the plankton music, but then it was eeeeh..

I could see it being more fun if maybe 2 or 3 of your friends had it, then you could make cool music together at once. But I suggest maybe trying it in store (if there are demos) first.
If not it might be worth buying it to try for 2 weeks, im sure you could make your money back on ebay since it's a limited release.
