If I have an amp that I use for my computer, and I keep it on all the time, does it eat electricity??

What I mean is, most of the time the amp is idle (no sound), so it shouldn't eat too much electricity.

Most amps use minimal electricity when not being driven. When it thumps is when it pulls current. The standby current is very minimal. Hope this helps. :)

Congrats BTW on Plat :D

Yes, the internal amplifier circuits are always drawing current, even when no input signal is being amplified. It is less that when being used, but the power is always being consumed.
