Electronics in life

Can anyone help, I need use of electronics in industry, medical services, leisure and transport, a positive consequence and a negative consequence for each. I'm stuck for ANY ideas
Just the name of the system, summat good and summat bad about it.

Positive: Makes it easier.
Negative: People become dependent, and down time causes huge delays.

Big negative is our reliance on electronic devices. When they go down, people are screwed (think computers in office).
Positive is obvously that our lives are easier with electronic devices. The internet is all electronic and look at hte vast resources that it has.
