Electronics/circut question: Turn off music when phone is picked up...?

So like, what I'm thinking is a switch between the computer speaker jack and the speaker plug which detects when a signal comes through on the phone like. So:

[computer] -> [switch which detects signal on phone line] -> speaker wire -> [speaker]

[phone line]

Is it do-able? Anyone know how?

Like...so...whatever....you need a a FET or a BJT like as a switch.

I have one of those. It's called NOT BEING A LAZY TURD, REACHING OVER AND LOWERING THE VOLUME MANUALLY.

Alternate Thread Title: I'm so huge, I make Jabba The Hut look like Calista Flockheart. My stubby arms can't reach around my tremendous gut to lower the volume...somebody design me some circuit or something to do it for me.
