I don't know who gets mine but I don't really care because every hardware retailer must take back old computer/tv parts by law and then they get disposed properly (I think this is centrally organised). I thought US hardware normally ships to China after use, gets a bit separated and then burned without filtering. Good to see there are some efforts to change this.

Heh, in addition to getting charged at point of disposal for this stuff, the state of Maryland makes the MANUFACTURERS pay it at point of creation. There's a reason I'm not a manufacturer anymore, and that's it. It's not my fvcking responsibility to make sure my products get disposed of properly - hell, I now volunteer my time recycling PCs by the dozen. It's fun sh!t, if hard work.
