I searched the threads and I haven't found anything covering this so I'm posting it, if it there had been a thread made about this I apologize.
In my opinion the software on these machines should be open source so that they can be reviewed and analyzed to ensure (as much as is humanly possible) that they are tamper proof.
This story is very disturbing.
