Electronic noise that is related to mouse wheel???

Ok, here's what I've got:

Asus A7N8X non-deluxe
Enermax 365VE modded with Panaflos
Radeon 9500np

I've booted with absolutely no fans, no drives, and I still get this really high pitched electrical whine out of my computer. It's not loud to most people, but it's at a really annoying frequency. I'd say it's up around 12-15kHz.

However, it varies in pitch a bit in Windows when I use my mouse wheel! Any ideas on what the heck this could be?

I get this too...I can only say that it's got to be something in the PCI bus getting electrical contact. I ususlly just ignore it and with my fans now I can't even hear my KBD 🙂

heheh, same here ... before i got into case modding, i could hear my mouse squeak and my speakers hiss. after 6 x 80mm fans and a couple of tornadoes ... said what???

this isnt exactly like your problem, but when i have headphones on and no music i can hear noise when my usb ports are being used. i hear it when i use the mouse wheel, when i move the mouse, or when i type on my usb keyboard. definitely not annoying enough to try to do something about it since i only hear it when i have on my big headphones and nothing else in the room is making noise.
