For those of you who live ina 1 bedroom apartment, what is the average amount of KWH you go through a month?

Well, in my 2 bedroom apt, we use around 900 to 1000 kWh a month. So I'd say probably 600-700 would be normal for a single (if you have a lot of electronics).

they said my usage was 281 KWH. I wonder what is taking so much energy.

edit: ok....so that is normal then. The $47.50 bill just took me by surprise.

kWh is the only thing that matters, since electricity prices vary widely from region to region.. So those of you posting your $ figures also need to say where you live and how much electricty costs per kWh, in which case you could just figure out how much kWh you used anyway....

what surpirses me is that more than 50% of the bill is for delivery services and not the actual charge for energy.

LMAO! 281kWh is nothing.

We used 2767kWh last month.

2bedroom house, but there are 5 people living here.. Really racks it up.

I live in a one bedroom by myself and i'm pretty conservative with power. Bout the only things that stay on are my computer (shut down over nights though) and TV/Sat. box if i'm home. I don't use heat in the winter, as i live in AZ.

Anyway....i average about 320.

How many kWh tho? Dollar figures don't mean anything.

Around here, electricity is only $0.08/kWh.

2700+kWh is a HUGE ammount of energy, if we lived in NY or somewhere similar, our electric bill would be over 400$ instead of $200.

I have no idea. I'll check my latest SDG&E bill when I get home tonight and report back.
