So.. i came home last night and mom and dad told me that a dimmer in their bathroom isnt working. It is one of those push on / push off dimmers which rotate.
So i went to home depot and got a new dimmer switch. The old dimmer switch is and the newer switch are matched in specifications.
Here is the problem. THe old one has 2 wires.. one that connected to a 'blue' line and another to a black line.
The new one has 3 wires. 2 black and 1 green. I connected one black and one green. It doesnt work. Does the 2nd black also have to be connected with the other black? or should i switch the black wires?
I hate working with AC current, its a pain in the butt and i got to kill the whole house before i can work on it.
