Electrical Noise and Soundcard

Is there a soundcard that anyone can recommend me? Currently, my soundcard is the builting soundcard which is from Asus motherboard the A7V600, which if i'm not mistaken is the ADI AD1980 SoundMAX 6-channel Codec. And since I use headphones only, I hear a lot of electrcial noise from when the hard drive read/writes, DVD-ROM/CD-ROM access, mouse movements, and including keyboard keystrokes. I have heard that all internal soundcards has some sort of electrical noise, well, at least from what I have read so far. Will a USB soundcard solve this problem? Anyone with a USB soundcard has any thoughts on this? Is the Creative Audigy 2 NX any good?

a decent internal soundcard should fix your problem. It isn't neccesary to get an external one. Try updating your mobo, and sound drivers if possible before u buy a new card.

Go to Start>Run> sndvol32
Mute the Mic, Line In, and any others that cause a lot of noise; those were the big ones for me. Also, turning down the Wave (PCM) and turning up the Master worked to get rid of some of the noise.
