Electric razors

For me: Triple round head known as Norelco = razor rash or razor burn

Remington Micro Screen = painless shave

That's my problem. Plus it seems like I have to go over and over to get all my hairs. Blades might just be dull, but I can practically buy a new razor for what it costs to replace them.

How does using a razor with the long parallel blades compare to using one with circular blades? e.g., this vs. this

The round blade razors will spit out chucks of your face suitable for making coleslaw.

The straight blade razors will work more like one of those pasta makers spitting out fettuccini.

I use an electric razor, and will continue to do so for some time to come. I think they're great, and the reason I switched from manual shaving to electric is because I didn't think I was getting a close enough shave (For the amount of irritation that occured) with the "Mach 3".

I have a Braun "Syncro" and have been using it everyday for a couple years now and I think it gives me an incredibly close shave with very little irritation. (I'm only 21, my beard isn't growing to its full potential yet). I've only replaced the actual blades once, and it still works perfectly.

I personally recommend trying it out (Though it could be a costly mistake). I'm sure as hell glad I did.

The higher-end Norelcos (including the one in the OP) are pretty good (compared to other electric shavers). They are nearly as good as an old-fashioned manual shave. To reduce razor burn, just pick up an electric shaver pre-shave lotion from your local dept. store.
