Good day all,

My electric razor is on its last legs and was wondering if you could give me some recommendations on a new one. I'd obviously perfer it to be less expensive, but don't mind paying for quality; best bang for the buck if you will. I perfer electrics because of the reduced irritation relative to a manual (yes i've used several, skin perfers electric) and not having to use shaving cream. Need it to be cordless and rechargable.

Thanks all. I'd like to buy it today...

I had a Norelco rotary type, it was ok, but uncomfortable if I didn't shave frequently enough (it was about $50). I upgraded to the $99 Braun model, I forget the exact model but it was in the 5000 series, has the self cleaning base/charger, it's pretty nice. Definitely a lot more comfortable than the Norelco. I've only had it a few weeks though, so I can't completely vouch for it yet.

I've got the 8525 from Braun and it's a pretty good machine. The only thing I dislike is how noisy it is when it cleans.

Prefer, not perfer.

I have a phillips rotary with shaving cream in it. I got it for xmas this year. It's pretty good. Blades are still faster and a better shave, but when I'm lazy (always) I use the electric.

I got one of the first braun ones with the self cleaner when they came out and it's still working fine. They are a bit expensive but well worth it in my opinion. The only negative is I've heard they're not that great with very thick facial hair but I don't have a problem with it.

I got the Phillips Norelco Rotary from costco and it works pretty well. It works great for everything but the neck. it takes a couple swipes for me but other than that its great when im feeling lazy
