I was baking a pie and I set it to 350°. When it said it was "done" preheating, my new over thermometer said that it was only at 305°. There's no telling how high it went, because it burned the hell out of my crust.
Mine actually heats quite well... I always have to shave a decent amount of time off the listed cook for time or else whatever I'm cookin' will come out burnt.
