I use a regular.. un-powered toothbrush. I hesitate to say old-fashioned because the one I have now is mighty newfangled.. has these bizarre lookin' orange squeegies mixed in with the bristles. I'm mighty fond of this toothbrush. 🙂

It feels like my teeth are way cleaner since I've started using an electric (Oral-B). On the rare ocassion where I use a regular toothbrush, they don't feel as clean at all, unless I sat there and scrubbed them for 5 minutes 😉, but the electric is quick and good! I don't believe I've had a cavity since I've got it a few years ago , compared to getting one every now and then all the time before that!!

Might be interested in a Sonicare also in a few months.

The top of the line is the Elite 7500:

Elite 7500

but their basic model will get your teeth as clean as the best one. It's just a matter of features.

My toothbrush is powered by a small block Chevy V8. Sure it makes my gums bleed like a first poked virgin when I use it, but nothing can beat the sound of a V8 while cleaning your teeth.

Supercharge it and add a nitrous kit!

Then connect it to a laptop to monitor the engine stats. You can even have it flash WARNING: DANGER TO GUMLINE if you like.

I've never used one of those expensive electric ones. I always thought it was a sham and was just for lazy people or people who liked to waste money. Does it really clean better and make your mouth feel cleaner? More specifically, can it clean spicy chili off your teeth, tongue, and gums really well?

The principles of brushing are the same; angle towards your gums, use fingertip pressure, and move in small circles. A manual and electirc can do the same job. Electrics are more fun to use and can do a better job for some people. It is easier to do the same job with an electric, it's not as technique sensitive. Sonicare's are the best OTC.

When I get into my new office I will be able to resell Sonicare's for about $30 (my cost). I will offer them to everyone here if they are interested. It may take a couple of months before I am in a position to do this. If you are interesed PM me. BTW this is a nonprofit deal so don't ban me. I would only ask for the price of shipping over the top of the cost of the Sonicare.

I'm interested as well. I just hope that no idiots try to make money off of his generous offer.
