Electric guitar to headphones

What do I need to plug headphones into my guitar without an amp? I would like names of specific products if you know of any.

easy to build. dont know if you can buy em.

you need alot of quality? or just OK qualtiy?

should be able to do it with a LM386, a couple resistors + caps, and a 9v battery.

Check ebay for headphone amps. It basically just gives you an amplified dry signal. Don't spend big dollars on one because they're not worth it.

If you're willing to spend $100-$150, you can buy an amp modeler like a V-amp, Digitech Genesis, or Johnson J-station. You can get some decent tones out of them, maybe useful to you if you plan to record.
