Electric Blanket + Heated Matress Pad at the same time--what happens?

Thanks to Black Friday, we now have both a heated mattress pad and an electric blanket on our bed. The instructions for the new mattress pad say that you're not supposed to use both at the same time...but sometimes it can get really cold!

So...what happens if you turn on both the heated mattress pad and the electric blanket at the same time?

Is it kinda like that, or is just nice and really warm?

Damn, what are you a lizard? You need to move to equador and lie on a warm sunbaked rock instead.

Since both cookers are powered from the same outlet but have slightly different coil lengths, you're likely to set up an interference resonance frequency between the two resisters. Because they are so similar in electrical properties the interference field is likely to be very high frequency, likely in the radio range. It will be like sleeping in a microwave cavity.

Either that or you'll sweat like a pig. Just use the mattress pad; they're much more comfortable than electric blankets.

Each warmer is likely manufactured to be able to dissipate its own heat. If the blanket is against another surface that is then trying to push heat back into it, then one or both will likely exceed the spec'd temperature.
