Pre-Markets are tanking.
Do you think it will rebound later in the week or continue downward...?
Any stock trading ideas...? I'm sure I could find some time tomorrow to day trade a bit tomorrow....
Help me make some money off this mess of an election!

There will be market uncertainty for quite a while.
I think you mean 'market volatility', as a suggested temporary state of 'market uncertainty' is nonsense when you think about it...since there is no such thing as 'market certainty' or we'd all be rich. ;)

I'm not as optimistic as I would normally would with a drop like this because I think it's part of a bigger downtrend that started on 10/25.

It's a real gamble right now, which is the root cause of the current trend.

Before anyone mentions brexit, consider that british markets only slowly rebounded after it was clear brexit wasn't actually happening anytime soon and their currency is still shit, though I suppose it might not relative to the dollar soon enough. I doubt trump is going out of mind in similar fashion.

The US' economy is OKAY (marginally lower unemployment & higher real GDP growth), the problem is that Trump, like a true moron, has been spinning it as if the current economy sucks. What happens when you have a moron tell his even dumber cohort of followers the economy isn't great? A self-fulfilling prophecy - inflation expectations change, consumption and investment decrease, prices get cut, higher unemployment, slower growth, loan power shifts and a whole slew of let's-see-how-much-economic-havoc-this-imbecile-will-bring-to-the-US.

It's a shame because this will have a pull-effect on majority of the world's economies, including Australia..

There is going to be a great deal of money made in the stock market this week. Most of will come from people asking for stock tips on a tech site.

Damned shame that even owning the Presidency, academia, and the media, the Democrats can't seem to counteract one moron, eh?

Oh, and you made a typo in your user name. It should be spelled "Greatknob". The "k" is silent.

If it's only 3% drop, that's nowhere near pricing in the new reality and risks around Trump. If you want to invest, I'd focus on companies doing AI and advanced robotics. With the protectionist and populist mood in the world and the US, automation is the answer for companies to sidestep this risk entirely.

You were offended by some Economics jargon? Go ahead and counter what I wrote, let's see what you know (apart from knowing how to come off as a knob yourself) about Trump's economic plans and their viability..

One of the best bets was bio tech stocks apparently. I've had in place sell orders for GLID and ABBV and they filled. Granted most have been hit pretty hard lately so you really needed to pick those up in the last couple of days. Still lost money on GLID this year but I'm happy with the 8 days I owned ABBV (and GLID would have been worse if Clinton won)
