I see the local Ron Paul Posse has weighed in.

I'm not what you would call a big Ron Paul supporter, but when the only choices are the group of "me-too" lemmings that make up the Republican party hopefuls, it's no contest. If I hear one more Republican do a bad Bush impression when talking about terrorism, I'm going to have to punch someone in the face. What the hell is wrong with the Republican party? Neither Ron Paul nor the Democrats are exactly doing it for me, but man do the majority of the Republican candidates just suck a big bag of dog poo.

Remember kids, it's no longer about the right man for the job... (and let's face it, it hasn't been for some time) It's about finding the most electable candidate.

Exactly why Ron Paul is gaining so much momentum. People are sick of it. Whether or not they are sick enough remains to be seen.

Momentum?
Did he register more than an asterisk in some national poll that I missed? Is he into whole number territory now?

Sometimes they say you are known by the company you keep. In Ron Paul's case I look at the nutjobs spamming forums and skewing phone polls and think: No frickin' way. His campaign tries to skew the truth more than Dubbya. (No easy task)

I'd need a direct deposit of $34 million to vote for the GOP.

Ron Paul is the only decent one of such jackals.

I need a brew.

Politics, like most things, is relative. Ron Paul has some serious ideological problems if you ask me, but compared to the rest of the jokers running, it's like the second coming of Abe Lincoln. I've been leaning pretty far Democrat the past couple of years, but I'm having a hard time getting excited about any of the cardboard candidates the Dems are fielding this time around. And while I despise Bush, I'd be willing to vote Republican if they fielded a real conservative...not exactly my ideology, you understand, but I can get behind a lot of the basic ideas that the Republican party used to stand for. But instead we get people who seem like actors playing the worst characteristics of Bush...it's like it's 2004 again and the Republican party has decided that they are going to ride the Bush-conservative train to victory, nevermind that it derailed some time ago.

I think an appropriate bumper sticker for Ron Paul's campaign would be "Vote Ron Paul: Smarter than Giuliani, less annoying than Hilary". It's not that he's so great, it's just that the rest of the field is so uniformly terrible. The people getting excited about Ron Paul are doing so because he offers even a glimmer of real ideas, not pointless rehashing of party line ideas and annoying sound bites. It's a long time till the election, but as things stand right now I'd rather run Kerry vs Bush over again...BOTH sides would have better choices.

Well spoken. Admittedly Ron Paul has some radical ideas when compared to the popular politics and ideologies of the day. But the fact that so many from the socialist left to the fundamentalist right are willing to support him shows just how desperate we have become.

Same with this poll

and this one
http://abcnews.go.com/politics...135373&POLL288=4000000
and this one.

Thanks again for proving my point. Text message poll. On line poll. On line poll. Keep citing meaningless, easily manipulated polls and ignoring the scientific polls that you and your cronies can't skew. Good lord, in the second poll he racked up 25 times the second place vote. You people keep citing this as proof that Ron Paul is getting the shaft in the media and is really on his way to winning this primary. By repeating this garbage, you are losing whatever credibility you may have had and alienating people like me in the process. (people who might actually give the guy a chance except we don't want to be associated with this kind of propagandist crap)

What's Ron Paul's stance on mass immigration, illegal immigration, foreign outsourcing, the trade deficit, and H-1B and L-1 work visas?

PeeWee Herman comes to mind.

Or one of the teletubbies would do.

Just not the purple teletubbie with the handbag. He is gay.

He is anti (mass)immigration. He wants to build a wall and stop the amnesty project. He also wants to pass a bill to immediately stop birthright citizenship. Paul is Free Trade(more than any other you will find. He does support work visas as foreign workers are crucial to a true free trade environment.
