Im terrible in these games when it comes to altidis. Now this game with 4 classes but like a million ways to build each class has me going in all directions![]()
Big decision but i'm gonna delete and reroll my Templar tonight. I'm in no hurry to level to 50 and do endgame content and i'm still learning and tremendously enjoying the game so far. Let's say this character was the learning one and since I settled to the Templar (very fun to play, better than the DK for me) i'll just reroll a new one and do it right.
And having your bank account bound is so much cool, love this idea.
Just make sure that you clean out the inventory of the character you are going to delete. Preferably make the new character first, then transfer all the gear from the character you are deleting to the new one.
Another cool thing about this game is that bound items are account bound, not character bound. So if your main out levels an item, you can toss it in the bank and an alt can use it when it reaches the appropriate level.
I'm enjoying my Templar, but I went bow/wood elf ... wondering if I should switch it to melee Templar for DPS.

Plus that site is the owner of the only add-on I use called FTC. It adds what IMHO the game should have in the first place which is floating damage numbers. It also shows what hots you have and how long till they expire and same for any debuffs from an enemy.
When I'm in a group healing it's really nice to have.
You can mix the use the templar skills from Aedric Spear and Dawn's Wrath with your weapon. In fact during solo dps with my 2h I only use one 2h skill now which is stampede. I do this rotation on 3-4 mobs: reflective light -> stampede -> solar barrage -> biting jabs -> radial sweep -> repeat solar barrage -> biting jabs on harder mobs. Then when the mobs are dead I hit repentence which uses the corpses to heal and regen my stamina then I move on to the next batch while I'm doing my quests. Hit 27 with only very casual play.
My 2nd bar is resto staff with all the heals I need for tougher fights and grouping.
This is an approximation of my current build http://esohead.com/calculator/skill...x0l8zo7zzvbho8zu7zMHfYE6MHfZd8zL7McK4EX6zK4PZ
What skills heal you on the resto staff?
Mutagen and Healing Springs are from resto staff. Very important and magicka efficient hots. And the very crucial 10% magicka you get back from the last tick of a heavy attack with the resto staff.
Yeah how doea healing work in this game? Does the healer have to keep you in his cursor?

Quick question, I bought the discs since my internet isn't the fastest. Once I install, can I just give my discs to a friend so he can use them to install and then just buy a code online to activate it?
Edit: Also, if me and a few friends wanted to run together, do we all have to be the same race?
How many updates are there already for this game? I installed all the discs and it's pulled what seems like 5-6 gbs of patches and updates.

Honestly I don't have time to hover over any group mate anyway since I'm constantly using my resto staff to heavy attack the mobs to get magicka back. Most of the healing is AOE areas or auto target lowest health secondary targets while healing the target under the cursor.
The problem with the AOE healing is that it makes a big red area on teh ground with gold glitter effect. It sort of looks like some giant enemy spell and quite often team mates run out of the effect.

From my experience I agree with what people say in this thread http://tamrielfoundry.com/topic/can-anyone-explain-how-healing-works-in-regards-to-self-targeting/ which is that the target under cursor doesn't matter.
The heals that say "heals nearby for X, heals additional for Y" where X is the larger armount like Breath of Life heal the lowest hp member that is closest to you for X. This means if you are too far back from the tank and closer to the dps and the tank is low hp and one of the dps is even lower hp then the dps gets healed with X then the smaller Y portion goes to the tank. This is why I try to keep close to the tank when he's getting whacked hard.
The other heals like Healing Springs and Cleansing Ritutal heal all allies in the AOE circle. CLeansing Ritual is awesome because it glows yellow in a big radius and is very obvious not a red circle, so allies won't avoid it. Healing Springs is a little harder to notice and has a smaller area but has a nice side benefit of returning magicka for each person healed in its area but it is a short lived hot so you have to keep it up a lot.
Since all group dungeon fights have lots of enemy AOE effects going on the challenge for a healer is to position yourself so the big heals go to the right person while avoiding the AOE from the enemy. It makes for a hell of a good time.
Just did the 3rd dungeon Arx Corinium tonight with my guildies and we stomped that place pretty easy. Only had a whipe on the last boss. That place is absolutely gorgeous, it almost had a raid feeling to it.
